Uptown Farmers Market & Railroad Museum Update

April 2, 2011

The charette process for the Uptown ended last Thursday. Before selecting the architect and design consultants, the City of Greenwood had selected a 2-acre lot at the end of Oregon Ave., across from Phillips Appliances and Mill House Pizza. The consultants walked the site and the area residents proposed designs to fill the open area. Following a workshop, which allowed for input from area residents, the architects designed three proposals for the Railroad Museum and Farmers Market in Uptown Greenwood.

The designers spent three days designing three proposed ideas. Then, interested residents voted on their favorite designs. You can see these designs here.

The team will take continuous feedback and continue to improve the design.

If you want to offer your opinion, you can visit the Farmers Market or Railroad Museum Facebook pages. This will be a fun opportunity to influence the future of our town. I am looking forward to the potential improvements in Greenwood.
